HyperFrames 0.9.7 to 0.9.9: style templates, pinned skills
HeyGen shipped three HyperFrames releases overnight. The headline in v0.9.9 is style templates for paid HyperFrames plan members, but the change most users will feel is that the CLI no longer auto-updates across 0.x minor versions and installs skills that match its own release.
v0.9.9 (Nov 3). Plan members can run hyperframes templates pull and make films in those styles with a new style-sampling skill. The CLI now installs agent skills pinned to its own release tag and stops auto-updating across 0.x minors, which should end the 'skills got ahead of my CLI' breakage that followed the 0.9 Plan v2 change. diff --offset can now compare your version against the original at a time offset, and renders that ran over five minutes can still be read after they finish.
v0.9.8. If the faster BeginFrame capture path fails, a render now falls back to screenshot capture, and a render request can force screenshot capture. A bug where audio briefly played fast after pressing Play is fixed.
v0.9.7. Studio no longer freezes WebGL scenes during preview when motion blur is on. A GSAP set that fires during a running tween now previews on the same frame as the export, and the linter flags it. Videos the browser can't play, such as ProRes or HEVC without a decoder, show their own frame instead of black while a playable copy is made. Your CLI login now takes priority over a stray API key in your shell.
Our take: no breaking changes this time. If you script HyperFrames renders in CI, the version pinning and screenshot fallback make it more predictable. The templates are a paid-plan feature, so open-source users get the reliability fixes but not the new styles.
