Remotion + remotion-dev/skills: React video your agent can write
The most established code-to-video framework now ships official agent skills. Check the license before you build a business on it.
Remotion lets you write a video as React components. Each frame is a function of the frame number, and it renders to MP4 locally, on a server or on Lambda. It's the default engine behind many agent video skills (video-shotcraft and video-use's overlays among them). The main repo had about 64K stars on Oct 14 2026.
remotion-dev/skills is the official agent-skills pack (about 5K stars). It teaches Claude Code or Codex how to use Remotion correctly, which matters because agents often get timing APIs and asset loading wrong. @maxxmalist lists it as one of three editing skills to give your agent.
Licensing caveat: Remotion is source-available, not OSI open source. Individuals and small teams can use it free, but larger companies need a paid company license. Read the license page for the current thresholds before you ship client work.
