HyperFrames this week: draw on the frame to request an edit, 75+ caption styles, and real motion blur

Spotted, not yet tested

Two HyperFrames releases on Oct 21 and a Studio push add up to a real editing loop. You circle what's wrong and queue up to 10 fixes for Claude Code or Codex, pick from 75+ caption styles, and switch on sub-frame motion blur with one attribute.

HyperFrames, HeyGen's Apache-2.0 HTML-to-MP4 renderer, shipped v0.8.184 and v0.8.185 on Oct 21. The same day, @HyperFrames_ promoted 75+ caption styles built into HyperFrames Studio. Taken together, it now feels less like a renderer you prompt and more like an editor you direct. All of this is official vendor material, and none of it is a third-party test.

The editing loop lives in the HyperFrames Studio app (Mac and Linux, with a HeyGen sign-in, connected once to your Claude Code or Codex). Under the picture are three tools: Select (V) to click an element and describe a change, Draw (D) to circle a spot and say what's wrong, and Comment (C) to pin a note to a spot and moment. You can also draw across the timeline ('tighten this part'). Nothing runs right away. Each mark becomes a row in Pending video edits, up to 10, which you send as one request. A Settings toggle decides whether a new message waits in the queue or interrupts the agent's current run (Queue vs Steer). Tenex's short demo shows the press-D, circle, say-the-fix flow.

Captions: Studio can now save word-level visual overrides (position, scale, rotation, colour, font) to caption-overrides.json. The docs are honest that timing changes, group splits and Animation-tab tweaks are still preview-only and lost on reload. Durable timing fixes belong in the caption source, or you can ask the agent to make them. Their review checklist is worth stealing for any captioned video: watch once with sound, once muted, check names against the audio, and check captions over cuts and changing backgrounds.

Renderer changes in v0.8.185: capture motion blur is now an opt-in via data-motion-blur on the composition root. It blurs fast-moving elements across sub-frame samples, with settings for shutter angle and sample count, and it scales with the render so 2x and 4K blur at full resolution. Cloud render also accepts --resolution 4k with transparent --format mov or webm, which is handy for overlays you finish in an NLE. In v0.8.184, cloud render uploads any media of 5 MB or more as cached hosted assets, so big projects render with no manual step. Multi-worker MP4 renders also start encoding while capture is still running, with byte-identical output. Spotted, not tested. Credit HeyGen and Tenex.
