The 15-repo motion design stack, sorted by job

Spotted, not yet tested

A viral list of motion-design repos, which we checked one by one and grouped by what you're actually trying to ship.

@Mnilax shared a list, credited to an ex-Figma design lead, of 15 GitHub repos that turn a coding agent into a motion studio. We checked each one against GitHub. One link, hyperframes-student-kit, didn't resolve when we looked. The rest are real and active.

To ship a launch video: AbubakrChan/product-launch-motion (script, word-locked voiceover, camera moves, film grade, broadcast loudness), charlie947/motion-graphics-skills (13 skills covering launches, animated charts and reels) and howseen-ai/claude-motion-design (HTML + Playwright + ffmpeg, cuts on the beat).

To edit your own footage: Barty-Bart/motion-graphics times motion B-roll to your words and can cut you out of the background.

For animated shorts: cth9191/animate (seven styles, storyboard first), whaleyxbt/claude-motion (taste rules, self-review, a sound engine) and haidrrrry/claude-remotion-skill (targets flat fades and stiff motion).

For site animation: motiondivision/motion and a Motion.dev skill.

Official building blocks: heygen-com/hyperframes, remotion-dev/remotion, remotion-dev/skills, greensock/gsap-skills, and LottieFiles' motion-design-skill, which rewrites Disney's 12 animation principles for agents.

If you install only two, we'd start with one official engine skill (Remotion or HyperFrames) and one taste layer (LottieFiles or claude-motion). Everything else is built on top of those.
